GO WHERE LOVE IS

I'm not going to hang around here anymore.

There's no fun here, I'm walking to the door.

I have to move on and go where love is.

It's too cold here, used to feel welcome and at home.

But there's no love here, your only emotion is control.

That's not good for my soul, Got to go where love is.

Just want to be where love is.

I need to feel warmth and kindness.

Got to live my life where love lives.

I give it up to go where love is.

'Cause my heart remains on automatic pilot.

I go insane where there's no warmth and kindness.

There is none of that here, got to go where love is.

I hope one day you will find out what love is.

I tried to show you how but you seem so oblivious.

When you get tired of being alone go where love is.

Just want to be where love is.

You and I wading along the shore of life.

You are deeper in, you're over your head my friend.

That is beautiful ... I know that many men out there are weak and use violence against women, but they are following a chain which is hard to break. Such words as you have written are tools to break such chains.

SLOW TEMPERED

ALMOST EVERYDAY SOMETHING STIRS ANGER IN ME.

RAKING AROUND THE COALS OF MY TEMPER AND FURY.

IT IS WASHING AWAY THE PAST GRIEVANCES OF MINE.

HELPS ME TO FOCUS ON WHAT'S GOING ON AT THE TIME.

Good Poems Franklin..I too like the one sister, mother, daughter.. Pornography is rampant in the world..and we know many are involuntary caught up in that terrible cult... Lots of women are forced, drugged up or held against their will and it happens in the United States as well...

IT SEEMS MOST EVERYBODY IS IN A HURRY TO GO ALONG TO GET ALONG.

BUT THAT VIEW PUTS LIFE ASKEW, LOOK HOW OUR SOCIETY HAS DEVOLVED.

WE'RE BOMBARDED DAILY WITH CONFUSION OF WHAT'S RIGHT OR WRONG.

LOSING SENSE TO GET OUT OF THE RAIN. FEW DARE TO GO AGAINST THE GRAIN.
DO YOU FIND YOURSELF IN A QUANDARY, NOT KNOWING WHAT TO THINK?

COMING HOME WITH DIRTY LAUNDRY, WASH OUR MINDS OUT IN THE SINK.

WE'RE TOLD THAT TO HAVE A MORAL ATTITUDE IS INTOLERANCE SO PLAIN.

BUT NOT HAVING ONE CAUSES TOO MUCH PAIN, SO I GO AGAINST THE GRAIN.

IT'S SO UNCOOL! TO SUGGEST THERE'S RULES! YOU BE CALLED A FOOL!

A child remembers a horrific incident
that was instigated by child abuse

My Name Is Sasha
My Sister Is Leigh
I am six
And she is three

Our dads always mad
He screams and he yells
I don't think he likes us

HOW?

How do you be a good friend and not offend?

When you see your friend in trouble, what message do you send?

If you say "watch out" she may think you're a just a fool.

If you don't and your friend is hurt, you've broken all the rules.

How do you advise a friend, when no one asks you to?

Do you throw out little hints and hope they get a clue?

Or do you come out and say what your instincts are telling you?

Don't want to interfere in their life but I want to be a friend who's true.

Too many friendships are broken by what I'm about to do.

But I can't stand back and see the damage done and all the while I knew.

So I can only trust in above and say these words to you.

How do you know what's good and bad advise?

It's searching and finding the truth, not a roll of the dice.

When words are what's good for them and not what's good for you.

But either way I might lose a friend no matter what I do.

Too many friendships are broken by what I'm about to do.

But I can't stand back and see the damage done and all the while I knew.

SHADOW PEOPLE

Lurking in the shadows there lies the shadow people.

I keep searching row after row for some real people.

Who I assumed was real to me was revealed to be fake.

So marked by their slander and their quick getaway.

The gutless lie about us. Don't dare to say it to our face.

Their skill is so painful. Just like a can of spray mace.

They delight to tear others down just to build themselves up.

If what's said was true about us. We wouldn't even like ourselves.

The Shadow People smear others to us. But don't think we're exempt.

We're all just fair targets of shadow people's torment.

They accuse us of a stick in our eye, while in theirs a beam.

The Shadow People suffer envy and low self esteem.

Shadow, Shadow People.

I know it's hard to keep shadows from creeping into our lives.

Easy to fight fire with fire. Mad people throwing mud pies.

But is that what we really desire, our lives in turmoil?

It's our choice to live in the shadows or to stand on clean soil.

But bitter revenge's not my aim, I just believe in self defense.

I won't play their vicious game, I just understand and forgive them.

They're just smothered and broken souls backlashing from pain.

I will beware and remain aware of the Shadow People.

But can't we all just lay down our stones?

And have peace at work, play and home?

It means bilateral disarmament. But

it'll bring joy, there is no harm in it.

Everyone steps put of the shadows &

Stops spreading lies and innuendos.

It means letting our words stand daylight.

No more Shadow People 'causing strife.

TOWARD THE LIGHT

Was staggering alone... lost in desert night, I came across man's bones.

He who came here before me, lost his faith and without it lost his hope.

Can not see my way out of here how I'll survive, have no way to know.

On my knees, humbling myself, I cried out to God, begging for His help.

Deliver me, please God from my self imposed torment, my private hell.

Don't blame you for where I am. I want to live. With help I know I can.

Standing up.. my feet with new strength, began to walk toward rising sun.

Saw in a distance a glare of light. Could it be a sign of life? I began to run.

Blue water spring, the waters of life. I know the Father has heard His son.

This was not a mirage, I met a wagon train. They took me into town.

An hour before my fears told me I hadn't a hope. I'd never be found.

Now my faith is renewed. My fear is silent. It doesn't make a sound.

No matter where we find ourselves in, we can get out with help of a friend.

Open your heart. Wings will grow. Your soul will soar. Life will begin again.

Then just run from the dark, toward the light and trust in your new friend.

THE RICHEST MAN IN TOWN

This morning I said hello to the richest man in town.

He's wearing bargain clothes and worn out shoes of brown.

But everyone who knows him loves the richest man in town.

He has no credit cards or big bank account.

He drives an old car and lives in a small house.

The secret's well known, he's the richest man in town.

'Cause even if he can't afford it, he'll give you the shirt off his back.

And if you have a need he comes forward, ready with a helping hand.

He's got such a good ol' soul. He's the richest man in our town.

He's got three healthy children, well behaved and smart in school.

He has a loving wife with dark hair, eyes of blue.

No man could ask for more, he's the richest man in town.

'Cause our wealth can't be measured in only dollars and cents.

And no man is a failure, when he's got family and friends.

We don't face the world alone when we've got family and friends.

He always greets you with a smile, friendly talk and good advice.

He loves life and knows it worthwhile. By giving, he's got a good life.

By his giving, he's blessed being the richest man in our town.

EQUAL DISTANCE

My smile used to tell you one thing and my eyes another.

Worked hard at hiding my pain, busy putting up a cover.

Didn't want anyone to know that I had problems.

Tried to impress you and God while all the while hiding my sins.

I'd never ask anyone for their advise or for their help.

Couldn't reveal my weakness, what if they told someone else.

And the gap between me and you and me and God ...

were equal distance.

But then I chose someone I knew and could trust.

I unloaded my laundry list on them before they busted.

But while becoming closer to them I was becoming closer to God.

It's equal distance.

So if you're out there and your heart is in pain.

To you I can recommend three things starting today.

Just take off and drop that mask, you're not fooling no one.

Open your heart to God and confide in someone.

You'll feel like a new human being, you'll begin to heal.

From the strain of carrying that heavy baggage all those years.

So stop being a loner and join the human race.

We all go through the same things, show your real face.

And while becoming closer to each other, we'll be becoming closer to God.

It's equal distance.

The First Commandment says love God and that means His creations.

There are no exceptions, so let's have peace among all races and nations.

LIVING IN THE NOW

TV says Call this number to find what my future will be.

Dial 900 ... .... 10 Dollars a minute to know eternity.

Should I know or try living in the now?

Lady says she has the power to read the tarot cards to me.

Whether I'm to live or die in wealth or poverty.

I am curious but too serious living in the now.

Best advise been told to us by a man 2 millennia ago.

He said let tomorrow take care of itself. Let it go.

And have hope for our living in the now.

Living in the now. Not living in the past.

Not worrying about tomorrow. Living in the now.

So don't bother to read a daily horoscope to me.

I don't believe in the zodiac or astrology.

My sign is the cross because I'm living in the now.

Riding on the sands of the hourglass falling down.

A lot we don't understand about the here and the now.

We're just learning how to be living in the now.

Living in the now. Not living in the past.

Not worrying about tomorrow. Living in the now.

"Freedom" is a song written and recorded by Paul McCartney in response to the September 11, 2001 attacks. McCartney was in New York City at the time of the attacks, and actually witnessed the destruction while sitting in a plane, which was parked on the tarmac at New York's John F. Kennedy Airport

McCartney, who said the attacks affected him emotionally, wrote the song the day after the attack. In the song, the narrator declares freedom to be a "right given by God" that he will "fight for."
